A. Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council
Following are the few major activities of BM&DC

1. Development of Module on Teaching Health Ethics for undergraduate
Medical students


2. BM&DC has taken initiative in collaboration with Centre For Medical
Education (CME), DGHS, MOH&FW and Faculty of Medicine of Different Universities to review and updating MBBS curriculum 2002-


National Consultative meeting was held
• National core committee was formed
• Subject experts focal persons committee was formed
• Meetings of National core committee were held
• Meetings of subject experts focal persons were held
• Subject wise meeting of Anatomy discipline held on 25-26 May &
• Biochemistry discipline on 1st & 2nd June, 2010.
• Meetings of the remaining subjects will be held one after another in future to finalize the whole curriculum which will be followed by subject experts focal persons meetings & national core committee meetings.

B. Bhutan Medical and Health Council

The following guidelines were distributed to all health centers

1)  Disciplinary Proceedings for Medical malpractice and Negligence Regulations-2009
2)  Guidelines for writing medical Certificates and Reports-2009
3)  Guidelines on Continuing Medical education -2009
3)  Draft Revised of Bhutan Medical and Health Council Regulations-2010.


C.  Nepal Medical Council

1) NMC started issuance of Eligibility Certificates for undergraduate and postgraduate studies as a compulsory requirement before medical education in foreign countries for Nepalese students.

2) NMC is in the process of making all application forms and other documents for Foreign Nationals as well as National Doctors Registration downloadable from the council website www.nmc.org
